Anyone know if Royal Purple meets the A3/B3 standard?
I've heard through other post and people who say they have contacted Royal Purple and RP said they would probably be in A1/B1...don't know how reliable that could be but I know many people swear by RP
I suspect for normal driving that only occassionally reaches past 5k rpm, the A3/B3 rating may not make much of a difference.
Will continue to look into this. Am coming up on my first five thousand miles and I'm not waiting for 15k for the first oil change on a new engine.

Same here...unfortunately I have been sooo busy with school that I have hit 7200 miles but now school is done and am doing my first oil change soon...yes that 15000 miles is simply crazy...i am going to try mobil 1 0-40w...it has the A3/B3 rating and BMW LL01...plus I think the 40 will help the engine in this florida heat
