R55 Clubman sightings... while driving your Clubman!
#401
I've had a couple of Clubman sightings, but mostly fleeting. My dealer has sold two in my area.
Friday I had the BEST Clubman/Clubman sighting... I was driving on GA 400 at 2:45 PM, heading north and I spied a SS/S Clubman up ahead two lanes to the right. I sped up and got into the lane next to her. As I matched her speed I looked over at the driver and then had to look back at the road, but noticed she looked over at me at that moment. I looked back and wildly waved while smiling my biggest smile... and she did exactly the same at exactly the same time! We then both laughed. I moved on ahead because she was going too slow for Bianca, who loves the fast lanes! (oh, it's not MY fault officer, my car just won't slow down!)

Fess up, Georgia Clubmans!
First, before you jump me on my usage, I got corrected sometime back that it is one Clubman, two Clubmans, not Clubmen, but that's a discussion for another thread...
Delayed post: Saw two Clubmans on Friday the 19th both headed north on Interstate 85 a little north of Buford. One was a Chili Red/Black/Black roof, the other was a Chili Red/Black, CR roof. I wasn't looking fast enough to determine if they were justas or S-models.

Hola!
I will tell you my request of Clubman Viewing or sightings..
There are no Clubmans in this Aera where i live , only US Soldiers drive them, i*m pretty the only one in my Area with Clubman, so lonely....
But Unique ! And people are amazed when they see meand Cremi.
I think the german Clubman is too expensive for the People.
I would love too buy an US Spec @Military Sales but i have to be in the Nato or somethin else, they are much cheaper!
R56 Cooper US Version 11000€
Well... in the German MINI Forum www.mini2.info, there are 40 Clubmans located.
I see lots of SIXT Clubmans or MINI Coopers, they are nice too..
Greetings and
Frohe Weihnachten

Another in Shelby, NC
For a town of about 17,000 that's about an hour from the closer dealer in NC, two hours from the other, I keep seeing Clubbies. This time it was a PW/B/PWroof justa. Dealer tag, with stickers and plate frame from a local non-MINI dealer. I'm thinking family member of the dealer? Saw it tonight at Broad River Coffee.

Sighted TODAY (Jan 2nd)!
I was headed to Annapolis at 10:30am on the Highspeed Thru-way (aka Hwy 50), and came up on a NEW (paper plate still on) Blue Clubman (I am an electric blue, his was lighter - color?). No stripes, he was an "S", and had several people in the car. I waved, and passed so that he/she could see the DCMetro sticker. First Blue I have seen (discounting mine).

Saw another one today - Crofton shopping area near the Chick-fil-A. It was a dark silver with black top. The guy did NOT wave back, and I was turning in right at him...he looked, snoop - not sure. NEW owners are not hip to the wave, I wave all the time (at all MINI's) and recently NO wave backs, beginning to feel a little silly! My wife says, "Why do you wave?" I tell here it is the polite thing to do to recognize one another!

I saw this beauty in the Safeway parking lot on Thursday in Longmont. It's the fourth one I've seen out here, which is really something when you consider there's only one dealership in Colorado and it's almost an hour away.
Sadly, after test driving an Audi A4, a BMW 328xi, an Acura TL, an Infiniti G37x and a Clubbie over the last few months, I just today took delivery on the G37x. But the Clubbie was a close #2! And I've helped get my twin brother in Spokane totally into Clubbies--he's sure to get one in the spring, so can I still hang out around here? I love Clubbies, I just don't drive one. Maybe one day. . .

I have a Zug Ball on my Clubman. Got it from the dealer, along with a Vinyl decal I'm going to use for a little while (until I can decide on some other Youification).
I spotted a Hot Chocolate/Black Clubman the other day. I kept waving and waving, but i don't think they were paying attention.

As to the price difference between a comparably equipped Clubbie and a G37x (AWD), it's very difficult to determine because the cars are very different. Of course you know that. The Clubman is the most tossable and blast-of-a-car there is, and it's available with good levels of luxury and security features, too. The G37x is also a blast of a car to drive (0-60mph in 5 seconds!), and is stuffed with security (AWD), luxury and refined beauty everywhere you look or touch. They're both wonderful. My daughters were very disappointed that we weren't getting the Clubman (they test drove it with me and my wife) until they saw the G37 and rode in it. They're glad we've chosen the Infiniti, but, like me, they're still big fans of the Clubman.
The Clubbie I was considering would probably have run about $31,500 (before tax), and the G37x I got was about $39,000. That's a lot of $$, so we gave it a lot of thought before making our decision. We're very happy, and still have this sort of love affair with the Clubman, which my brother will likely get in spring.
