R55 Clubman sightings... while driving your Clubman!

Tilda, I love sparkling silver. I'll keep an eye out for you on the roads. Connect with M2C2 (MINI Motoring Club of the Carolinas) if you haven't already. Look in the East Coast club forums. A nice group of enthusiasts in both Carolinas.

I've been driving my sparkling silver/ black roof clubman in the Concord NC/Charlotte area usually on I85 since May 14 and haven't seen another or YOU either . It's generally mid-day. I'm constantly scanning to spot one. Good to know you are out there! You are red with silver right???
Heading to the Smokies in a few minutes. We have lots of fun in those mountains.....especially since I've discovered my sport button.

Saw one exactly the same except for the bonnet stripes and rims. Same color combo and everything. We were both leaving a Padres game, exiting the parking structure, drove next to him the for 9 floors. He was a really nice guy, too bad he had to settle for an auto, since his wife wants to drive it. Sucker!

I have owned my Clubman since Memorial Day and have yet to see another Clubman in the "wild". I did a driving activity with DCMM about a month ago and did see another Clubman - only ONE mind you..
I live in the DC area, and am very surprised at this since there are three dealers relatively near the DC area.
Well, I will continue to keep my eyes open for my "brother/sister" Clubman(or woman)!
It really is interesting that I can spot another Mini at a far distance without even trying...strange!

A couple days ago, a Mini Cooper in Sparkling Silver/Black pulled along side me, signaling he wanted to race. I used my index finger to draw a circle horizontal to the roof. He stepped on it(is that possible in a Justa?) and took off.
I was trying to tell the dude that cops were ahead.
He stepped on it in his Justacooper and was popped in a radar trap.

Saw my first wild clubman yesterday. Was taking a trip from Buffalo, NY 'burbs up to Medina and saw a DS/B clubman on the opposite side of the highway going into Buffalo as we were leaving ( I was not in my clubbie however, but by the end of the week I'll be driving it )....Ironically enough, on the way back from Medina I saw the same clubman, at the same location on the highway travelling back on the opposite side again. I'd have waved if I wasn't 150 yards away.
I live in suburbs (Cheektowaga to be exact for those who know the area, and work in East Aurora) and have only seen 1 clubman (base DS) and its someone I work with....good to know there are others out there....somewhere.
If anyone sees a CR/B Club S zipping around the area, shoot off a wave to me....I'll keep an eye out.

While in my Clubman, I've seen (glances) two Clubmans, but today I saw a thing of beauty. I was going by a business and saw a PW/B S beside me... Oh wait that was my reflection....
Seriously, I saw a SS/S S, with silver sport stripes. It was so nice. Colors were subtle but very nice. And the driver actually waved at me (not questioning her but most MINI sightings lately haven't been so nice). Very sweet car!

What do you mean by "not so nice?" Is there actually a sentiment from traditional MINI drivers that the Clubman is some sort of an abomination to the brand? Or did you mean something else?

I think it has to do with people buying MINIs not because they're enthusiasts but because MINIs are economical. My experience lately has been many drivers just don't wave or acknowledge that another MINI is near them. This lady waved at me. She seemed to be happy to see another MINI.

Yesterday, we were two for two. Both Minis we saw that were in a position to see me wave and flash (the headlights! ) waved back.
Hopefully a trend that will continue. I'd like to see the "bond' of sorts that exists here also be present in the Mini community at large. I would hope that even the folks who do not consider themselves enthusiasts still enjoy ownership and some connection with other owners.
There's many reasons to love your Mini. I don't care which one(s) you fancy, just that you do at all.

I'm a future ex SUV owner and vow to give you a thumbs up, wave, wink, etc...I've seen the light...and it's in the form of a Clubman Xenon bulb.

Not one but two Clubman sighting within seconds!
I haven't seen any Clubmans while driving around San Diego since I picked mine up on Memorial Day. Yesterday, I was bringing the kids back from their soccer training session and I see a nice CR/B Clubman driving into Rancho Santa Fe. The kids remarked "Hey Dad, there is another Clubbie!" As I pull up to the next light, what do I spy - a PW/B Clubman stopped at the light.
Wow! The Clubman is starting world domination!!!
