R55 Is Hot Choco a Fad Color

That brown is stunning.....
Dark brown is a fantastic car color. That color mated to the matching Lounge leather makes an unbeatable combo, IMO. I don't consider it a fad, I've always liked dark brown cars. I had an RX-7 back in 1984 that was dark brown. I am happy to see its return.
That said, I have a BRG Clubman on order. Wifey wanted green.

I have seen a couple of Hot Coco down at the Northwest Dealership, they all have had the chocolate interior, they looked great! I loved it, but my wife did not, she wanted a white car, so she won. I truly do not understand this, because it is my car. For the record, IMHO there is not many bad colors on the mini.

I love my HC Clubman! I have only had it for 30 days and 1100 miles but I can't stop wanting to drive it! Granted, I waited for five years to buy my first MINI. Once I saw the Clubman I knew my wait was over. Once I saw the HC Clubman in person, I knew it was for me! Taz & I are very happy!

Blue is my favorite color, but when I was deciding what to order I actually found myself considering a clubman just so that I could order it in HC - I think it looks great; stylish and a tad sophisticated too. That matching leather is stunning too. I do think brown is a "trend" right now, but that isn't the same as a fad. What I mean is that I think the popularity of brown, especially as a car color, is on the upswing, but I don't think it's going to become unpopular.
I wonder if brown will eventually become an option in MC and/or MCS. Maybe once the pent up demand for the Clubman is satisfied, maybe then it will be considered for the hatchback cars? I hope so! Maybe my next mini will be HC!
(off topic: what's with the "ZUG" ads? I don't get it.)

i was swayed toward HC also by its uniqueness and the fact then when properly waxed it has an amazing shine.
it reminds me of those custom painted California hot rods with a litlle gold flakes in the paint.
i had a red MINI before and i had it called weird names also ...
a "different" color MINI is not for shy or introverted people IMHO ... if you don't like to stick out get a more neutral color like DS, otherwise ... get the turd

I used to have a chocolate brown Alfa Spider (as well as a black one). I got so many people asking and commenting on the brown one...and it was always positive. People loved the color, and from the comments and photos others have posted, you can see that they always have, and always will. Not only is the color fabulous, but it stands on its own. If I were to ever buy a Clubman, it would be Hot Chocolate!
