Okay...if one wants driving lights for looks then one will need to spend the dollars. But...
If one just wants more light when driving using the dims then just turn on the front fog lamps - they're standard on the Clubman! When the switch for these is on the fogs will automatically come on when the headlights are on dim and when the headlights are on bright the fogs automatically go off. It's amazing how much additional light these cast. Try it!

Still, if I were to get the driving lights, I would definitely want to know how to re-wire them so they are not connected to the high beam. IMO, they are expensive if bought for purely aesthetics, which is why I would like to wire them for use with the low beams as well. That way, I can get the best of both worlds -- better aesthetics and useful lights!

BTW... last evening I used the Hellas on a drive down a few desolate highways in Western Washington on a rainy, wet pitch black night. I can't believe what a difference they make!

rally lights
from what I understand. I have 2009 R55 (clubman) He had driving lights on him when I purchased him, but I didn't like the looks of them so I had them taken off at the dealership. I am now wanting to put a rack of 4 lights. The VIP light bar appears to be my best bet and according to the experts will not block off that much air flow. I will then mount 4 hella 500 black magics. Since the car originally had the lights, and switch, I would assume they left the wire harness. fingers are crossed.
