Does anybody know how to get the glove box that's behind the silver cover (above the glove box) off ??

I'd like to do some custom wiring and need to get it out.

I messed around for three hours on Saturday trying to get behind that "secret compartment." I removed a variety of dash trim panels but never really struck gold. I hope someone can document the answer.
