So.... no "Zug" antenna topper?
Crud. Of any promotional stuff, that would be the one thing I wanted the most.
Personally, I am one of those people who finds it to be a happy circumstance to receive silly little promotional pads of paper, pens, etc. But then, I'm easily amused... My Dad used to tell me; "Simple things amuse simple minds ...while greater fools look on..."
I tend to view it as all souvenirs of the "journey". Some day our nieces and nephews will be cleaning out our belongings after my husband and I make our final pit stop, and I have no doubt they will be completely flummoxed by all the goofy stuff we have amassed.

My MA gave me the complete set of Zig Zag Zug for the long wait I had, plus some fortune cookies and one of the Introduction Clubman posters. They gave me Runs on Irregular license plate surround for my 2+ year wait. I keep it all in an organizer. I hated to use any of the Welcome kit stuff so I packed it neatly back into its box to keep. Of course I did that with all my Beatles stuff back in the 60's. Now all that memorabilia is still safe and sound in a foot locker along with all the British and U.S. albums waiting to be sold.
I'm going to put the proceeds toward a 2009 Cabrio. I'd rather have that to make new memories

Got mine a few weeks ago with all the usual stuff, including the current yellow "smilie" ball (The particular type you get seems to run in batches.) The mouse pad lines my glove box underneath the motoring journal, the pen sits in the center arm rest, and I magnetized the "ZUG" sticker though I didn't leave it on the boot. Haven't actually tried out the window poetry but maybe one of these days. Figured I was the only one who used the black elastic "Let's Motor" band for something. I stretched mine over the driver's side sun visor to hold toll tickets, parking stubs, and the like. Waste not, want not!
