bentycc,
I was just looking at the photos of your run last weekend. My goodness that looked like fun. The sites are beautiful, and so are the photos. Its got to be about 10 years since I was in Banff, a beautiful little town in a wonderful part of the workd. Now, down here in South Florida, the highest point on the map is the local landfill. I miss the mountian vistas, I need to leave Florida, at least for a little while.
Thanks for sharing, I hope you had a great time, and if the photos are any proof, you did.....Take good care my Friend,
Larry

I'm sure this is true for just about any place - you take for granted the beauty and uniqueness of the location you live in. Though I count myself fortunate to live so close to the Canadian Rockies, I have very fond memories of the places I've travelled to as well - Florida being one of them!
Thanks again. I'm happy to share. Happy motoring!

lilliux,
Well, welcome to the club, I will try and explain my blackout, I have a bunch of photos in my gallery.
Belt line was done with the kit from VinylStyles, easy to do but not perfect. Gas cap painted by myself, Hood scoop painted by a paint guy at MINI.
Door handels were done by a sign shop who does vinal wraps on cars, once again not perfect, but good enough to be looked at from two feet away and not see any problems.
You most likely could ask 10 folks and get 10 diffrent replys. There is a blackout thread, but I forget where it is. Alot depends on what you want, and how much your willing to pay, or do your self. I had my headlight trim rings and side scuttles done at MinSpeed. They came out great, I have seen lots of other Mods Pete (at MinSpeed) has done over the years, and he does really great work.......First things first, take delivery and start enjoying.
Good luck on your choices, and once again Welcome.........

First Big Trip
In Little Red and boy was it fun! 2700 miles: KC to ABQ, Acona Pueblo, Canyon de Chelly, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, 4 Corners, Mesa Verde and then home. 34.6 MPG overall which is damn good for an S...a lot of city, mountain and Interstate driving always 8/10 MPH over the limit! Quite the car, handling superb and fast as hell (It got a lot of comments from people everywhere). Ran perfectly the whole trip, not a single problem (Even finally found and fixed the rattle in the control panel...took me 7 days). However, getting 9 days worth of bugs off of it will be my task this week.
Glad we bought it,
Woody Underwood

I think I'm the newest Chili Red owner. I picked it up yesterday with 1 mile on the odo. It's sitting in the driveway now with 48 miles. I went with the red roof and mirrors because I thought the configurator looked unbalanced with a black roof and roof rails. I like the red on red look a lot now that I've seen it.

Has anyone replaced the clear cover on the third brake light with the red one from a Non-S? I think the tail would look much more "put together" with red up there rather than clear.
Yes, I know... I'm too lazy to use "Search". This is only my second post on NAM, so I'm going to claim NooB status.

Diabilto,
How is your uncle doing? I hope he is better, and out of the hospital, home, and out and about in his Mini.
Hope your doing well, My dad is now in Hospice, and is just a matter of time.
I will get back down there soon, I have taken the next to weeks off to take care of family matters.
Send my regards to all,
Take good care,
Larry

Chili Red JCW ?
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has pictures besides an automated (miniusa.com) picture of a chili red JCW clubman with roof rails not a roof rack. Also any pictures of same car with the JCW carbon hood bonnet scoop? The reason i ask is because i'm in the process of building one and would like to see it in person (picture) before i buy. Thanks

It's hard to believe I've had my Clubman for 3 weeks already. I was hoping to take new pix after I got rid of the temp tags on Monday, but it's been raining everyday, and will for a few more. Sunday, however, was a perfect day for giving the baby its first bath with Mystique and Hydro:
I've gotten so many compliments on the rooster red/piano black. The shots of Doogs' MINI on page 1 of this thread were an inspiration in choosing this.
I'm a member of the Missing Anthracite Headliner Club; once that comes in, I'll post more of the interior. I'm hoping to work up the courage to install my new red and black shift boots this weekend. I am loving my MINI more than I ever imagined possible. It is such a blast to drive, and a real head-turner! I'm so glad I went with my heart and went CR/B! Thanks to all the CR Clubman folks for posting your pictures: it was such a help in the configuration process!
