My 31 Days Old Clubman S Got Hit!
This afternoon when I was exiting a restaurant, a moron said he "thought" that I am accelerated away of the driveway already and rearend my Clubman S . The impact is pretty strong (from my inside the car point of view) but the Clubman suffer some damage to the rear bumper and my new license plate cover as shown below:
I am so **** and will bring my car to Marco's body shop in Pasadena to see how much the damage is

Sorry to hear about this-
My estimate for your repair is about $800-900 No kidding.
Get his insurance to pay for it.
Why so expensive?
Because you have damage on the bumper- it gets replaced plus painted plus the labor to do both and there is a foam piece under the bumper and that needs to be replaced because it absorbed the damage and got smashed or cracked plus labor to install it.
After getting fixed you should be fine.

I got a small door ding in the airport parking lot a few weeks ago. No scratch, just a very slight indentation. The guy's insurance company paid me $517 for it. I'm not going to bother getting it fixed because it was bound to happen eventually and it will probably happen again.
2 days ago, wifey ended up with a door ding in the center of the club door. Same deal, no paint damage but being Dark Silver and right in the middle of the door, it stands out like a sore thumb. Im going to pull off the interior panel and call paintless again. Its a pisser people can't be more careful around other peoples property.

Look up "Paintless Dent Removal" in your area, or better yet - ask friends that are car enthusiasts. Most likely they've dealt with PDR places and know who is best. Skill is key.
They remove the inside panel to get to the interior side of the metal. Paintless dent removal is all about finesse and gently massaging the dent back out - from the inside of the car out. They use special tools...kind of like spoons...to rub the dent back out. It's an art.
I've used PDR three different times. Between $50 - $70 / ding....money well spent!

Prost, very sorry for your damages; we all feel your pain. Tough as it is to take, it's only a car, and at least no one was hurt. Get it fixed quickly and erase the memory.
Tim, I agree, Paintless Dent Repair is the way to go whenever possible (although, unfortunately, it won't work in the OP's case). A good PDR guy will tell you right up front whether or not he can make it perfect or at least how close he can get. I've found an excellent one near me (Dent Wizard) that I've used 3 times over the last 5 yrs. and he's exceeded my expectations every time (and I'm fussy ); worth every penny ($100-$130 in my case)!
BTW, check with your dealer as well. Ours told us they'll take care of any dings we may get (limited to one per panel) for the first 90 days, free of charge via Paintless Dent Repair. Hope to not need it, but it's a nice perk, as you obviously know. Worth a try!

2. My first new 2006 MINI S was hit in the door on Day 2.
Car was parked when incident occured. No one admitted fault.
3. My new VW Rabbit was very badly hit in the door on Day 62.
Car was parked when incident occured. No one admitted fault.

No need to get the bumper replaced. The damage can be repaired by a mobile bumper repair service. Good as new and at a fraction of the cost of the body shop....

This is the PDR equivalent to repair plastic bumper covers. Every plastic bumper is repairable! Repair, don't replace!
Google "Mobile Bumper Repair". There are a ton of companies out there in California.
