Extra Mood Lighting

Okay so i have finally added some of the Extra Mood Lighting that i have wanted to do.

But of course the picture does not do it justice.

Blue LED's in 4 dash vents and in cup holders. Even at night this is not to much as they kind of just glow. And NO they do not change color with the Mood Lighting switch.

I have all the parts to do the rear cup holders and rear pillars but just have not gotten to it yet when I do I will post more pics

Very nice Schatzy

So how'd you do it? Was it a ton of work?

They have LED products for motorcycle applications that I've thought about doing to my bike, but it just looks to cheesy
But adding more mood lighting to a car looks pretty cool.

Not really a hard job just time consuming as the whole face of the dash has to come off to get to the locations for the LED's and running of wires. Took me about 2 hours start to finish.

Does dimming the dash lights also dim the mood lights? I guess I could go check myself, but I'm too lazy.

Dimming the dash lights dims the MINI Mood Lighting.

But however it does not dim the extra lighting i put in.

I have mine set on Orange to match the lighting of the car's instruments.

I don't love the mood lighting and I don't hate it either, but out of curiosity can you turn it off or dim it?

It can not be turned off by a switch.

It can be turned off by disconnecting each module at its particular location, but that means removing trim panels.

It can be dimmed by turning the dash lights down but that also means that the dash lights are dimmer.
