My biggest regret is NOT getting the anthracite. I tried to add it, but my car was alread in production. Everyday I stare at those pale grey pillars and wonder what in the hell was I thinking by skimping out on $250 - I should have realized that there is not another part of my interior that is that grey, so why would I have thought it would have blended?

I too have the black leatherette w/ Piano Black trim. Eventually, I'll at least replace the pillars to get the grey out of my line of sight.

 

Does someone have a photo showing the "A" pillars with the anthracite headliner?

 

I was in the group who had ordered but not received the anthracite headliner, so since it has been corrected, I got to see my car with both headliners . Here are some photos I took to compare and help others with the decision (whichever route they wanted to go).

Coopdy - I hate you!

 

When faced with this choice, I went standard grey due to feeling more "open" when in the drivers' seat.
The ceilings in my home are light colored as well.
For me it is less of an enclosed feeling.
Only you can make the decision.

Having had both I really could enjoy either though - both have their pluses and minuses and you get to used to both. Either way you're still in a MINI

 

I have the grey and am perfectly happy. I cannot for the life of me make sense of paying $250 for different colored but same fabric headliner. BUT>... I spent more for the S so to each their own
