This would make sense since the factories are/and have been at full capacity anyways. I hope and don't think quality will go down, they just have more experience . Sorry Spain but I'll happily take my US Supersized MINI.
ok, so if the USA is getting xtra allotment from the lack of productoin for the new cabrio, you have to wonder out loud where they are getting the xtra 2500+ engines, transmissions, etc.... if Peugot was at capacity for engines (IF? I dont know if they were).... would you think that quality might give?...
There are no "extra" engines, transmissions, ect required. They were going to go into cars for other parts of the world. The only strain points would be US unique equipment (say seat coverings). But since BMW runs such a lean operation, that flex ought to be easily adjusted.
