passenger door won't open from the inside - any suggestions?

I did a search in the forums, but could not find a description on how to fix this problem (my passenger door won't open from the inside)

Do any of you know how I should go about getting into the door assembly... it sounds like a pretty easy fix, but I am 4 hrs. from my dealer.

This sucks.

I would head to the dealership.

If you try taking it apart and break some "innocuous" bit of plastic or what-not and then the door refuses to go back together all fit together properly, you will likely be unhappy with yourself.

A 4 hour drive absolutely sucks though...

Talk to your dealership and see if they would be willing/interested in paying to have the work done locally. It never hurts to ask.

Please forgive what is going to come across as a stupid question, but are you referring to the front passenger door or the suicide door?

Ditto to this question...

I had a problem with opening the suicide door the other week... Finally found what seems to be a "reset" button at the base of the club door... I pressed it, and Bingo! door worked fine again...

FWIW...

Good luck!

I'm referring to the front passenger door... it will open from the outside, but not from the inside. It is almost like a child lock on a Chevy... I looked for the a child lock button that I thought one of my kids might have hit, but I did not find one.

From the looks of it on other threads, this problem is not uncommon... I just wanted to see if someone knew of a quick/easy way to fix it.

I think that you are in for a road-trip.

Is the door lock nub popping up from the top rear of the door on the first pull?

Herbie wouldn't let his passengers out till he was "done" with them either.

Perhaps you need to keep motorin'!

I don't know if this will help or not, but it might. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=138109

Based on this link, looks like it's the same basic setup, http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...79&hg=41&fg=40 in all MINI's. I have fixed mine twice.
