Does anyone else find the windshield washer "messy"? Let me explain. In my past cars, when I wash the windshield, the fluid I assume ran into a channel by the windshield which would keep it off my driver's window. In this Clubman, I dread washing the windows because the fluid shoots right across my driver's window and makes a mess and then dries looking horrible. Anyone else notice this?

I knew I should have bought a Rolls Royce Phantom instead. $%$^$% Clubman.
you mean to tell that you forgot to check off the NMWWF box for your clubman. It was only $55 more, and you could enjoy a No Messy Windshield Wiper Fluid clubman like the rest of us. You should take it back and get a new one. Heck it was standard on my Scion xB, and my F430 Scuderia..

I too ordered the 10 nozzle windshield washer upgrade package.
The USB washer fluid hookup is a snap!
Well worth the money.
Will never have another car without it.

I thought this required a dealer to flash the puter and my dealer is $160/hour labor...I'll use a rag, thankyouverymuch!

No. I specifically DID NOT order the NMWWF because I wanted an empty toggle switch on the dash I could come on here and lament later. It was standard on both my Maybach 62 and my Boeing 737 so I didn't think about it. I guess I can check into retrofitting, but I heard the new NMWWF for the '09s don't fit on '08 Clubbies. Anyone know if Outmotoring makes a suitable replacement?

There's also a new addition to the Sport Package which is Cheetah hides. That's the reason the price for the package is not available right now, as the Tanzanian Shilling/US Dollar conversion cannot be nailed down for the model year until December. They're also bringing in a new color: Poop brown.

For the American market, it's called Fece Brown. There's also rumor of a Hot Weather package that includes air conditioned seating, and margarita blender driven by brake regeneration...I may actually enjoy stoplights, for a change!

Thanks for the inside scoop, I will change my order from Pepper White to Fece Brown, I am hoping I can afford the HOT Weather package.

I'd have paid for cooled seats...

As for the blender, NC troopers have no sense of humor.

Does Fece Brown have a slight greenish tint, similar to Sparkling Silver in different lighting?

Only if you use regular gas (in disobedience to MINI recommendations and NAM orthodoxy).

In a heartbeat. I am waiting on that to trickle down to cheaper cars like heated seats did. I would use them ALL the time. I know Mercedes and Lexus have it, BMW too.

Oh, I also forgot to tell you guys. I was talking to my MA about the '09s and in addition to Fece brown, there is also ANOTHER new color. It's called Badge Bonanza and is basically just a primed car covered in badges.

No, no Sparkling Fece, I'm afraid...nice stretch though, I had to think for a moment, but pinched the idea right out. Still, I'll give you a 7.7 for effort.

1 I have noticed same noise, but no idea what it is- fuel pump sounds logical.
2 No sound with CD
3 Barndoors operate correctly, in line with what everyone else has stated

Yes, but it's not available until December.

By the way, the NMWWF causes used fluid to exit through the tailpipe removing any soot in the process.

Side effect is that it sets off the Rear Park Distance Control. Anyone experiencing a Rear Park Distance Control warning lasting more than 4 hours should see their SA immediately.

Odd that these things would come up so far from that early April date when most features of this type are announced.

You all have made my day !

I almost wet myself reading all these posts regarding the windshield washers!
Mini owners definitely have the GREATEST sense of humor - NOT AN OPTION!

Oh - don't forget to wave!

We can't help but be funny. That's what happens when you have permasmile.

Can't stop.

Don't want to.

Heck, that option has been around for years on British cars. My 76 TR-6 had it...never, ever sprayed fluid all over the car. Unfortunately, it never, ever sprayed fluid on the windshield either (Just into the air intake, where it leaked down into the battery compartment and then onto your right foot. Another innovation? Foot washing/cooling?).

Hmm. I hadn't noticed any soot. I use gas from BJs, its 56 Octane and only cost $2.35 a gallon. I am averaging 65 mpg hand calc though, although the OBC says 107 mpg. Well we know its always a little optimistic. Anywho, I will keep you guys posted on my findings. I am trying to get 1,000 miles on this tank of gas. I just got back from coasting 56 miles to work. I didn't have to hit the brakes once.
