Just curious? These things do have potential classic status............................................ .................................................. .................................................. .............in the future.
I can't imagine giving up this car--my favorite in 42 years of driving. It has made me want more MINIs, but I love Otto so much he will remain with me for many, many years.
I'm already planning on getting him a MINI companion. But then, he is such a joy to drive I hate to leave him in the garage to take out another. I already have that problem as I seldom take out my BMW 330 Ci since I got Otto. As much as I love the convertible the Clubman has become part of my soul. Such a joy to drive!!
Until gas becomes impossible to afford. If an affordable all-electric Clubman is a real possibility, I'll hang onto Kazzie as my first Mini will always have a special place in my heart. However, I'll be relying heavily on the electric one.
Well it all depends on fate. If she is totaled tomorrow then until tomorrow. If she has 400,000 mile in the next 15 years i might consider replacing her then but then again if she is running well why not keep her.
And then I will get a new one. What could be better than one with more features and newer colors and just, well, newness?
I am not still using my IBM PC Jr., that would be horrendous!
Computers I upgrade yearly or pass them down to my daughter. What she really wants now if my old Iphone. Cars I like to keep until at least 100k. I would like to keep it long enough to buy a Mini Cooper companion. It would mean breaking free of having an SUV, but I can see doing it.
For a fun car like the clubman, I want to hold on to it for a long time.
7 Years, minimum (unless Galileo meets an unfortunately early demise). I would say I would keep him forever...but I figure that in 7 years or so, there will be a lot of changes in technology that I will want to take advantage of. I am a bit spoiled (I spoil myself!).
I don't even have mine yet and my older brother is calling dibs on my future MCSCL if my fiance didn't already claim it. Might be fun just to torment him and drive it a real long time.
probably will change once the warranty runs out ... so in about 4 years.
running anything BMW out of warranty freaks me out
I wish I were so lucky. I'll be upside-down on the value/warranty before I know it. (already 4k miles and I'm just into the second month of ownership). I usually run cars/trucks a few years past payoff, then I'm ready for something new. I guess we're all somewhat 'banking' on the reliability/durability of MINI to some degree.
I would love to say I'm in it for the long haul but situations change. Even though I've had no problems yet, it is still a machine ready to break down, especially when the warranty ends.
I plan on keeping it till it dies or is to expensive to keep. So a long time. My girlfriend tells me that when a newer Mini comes out or if they bring over a cool British convertible I will probably consider trading it but we will have to see.
It depends on reliability. If, out of warranty, it becomes a constant repair headache, I'll likely move on. I already have one BMW out of warranty, I don't know if it makes sense to have two.

you'll be right side up before you know it with a MINI ... on my first coupe I was right side up in less than a year.
