Forever.

I don't have any plans. Why would you plan it so far in advance?

who says planning what? just putting the thought out there........ however long you plan to keep it, doesn't matter to me.

I can't imagine giving up this car--my favorite in 42 years of driving. It has made me want more MINIs, but I love Otto so much he will remain with me for many, many years.
I'm already planning on getting him a MINI companion. But then, he is such a joy to drive I hate to leave him in the garage to take out another. I already have that problem as I seldom take out my BMW 330 Ci since I got Otto. As much as I love the convertible the Clubman has become part of my soul. Such a joy to drive!!

Until gas becomes impossible to afford. If an affordable all-electric Clubman is a real possibility, I'll hang onto Kazzie as my first Mini will always have a special place in my heart. However, I'll be relying heavily on the electric one.

Well it all depends on fate. If she is totaled tomorrow then until tomorrow. If she has 400,000 mile in the next 15 years i might consider replacing her then but then again if she is running well why not keep her.

Haven't even thought about it.

One thing I know for sure...now that I own a MINI, I can't see myself driving anything else.

36 months.

And then I will get a new one. What could be better than one with more features and newer colors and just, well, newness?

I am not still using my IBM PC Jr., that would be horrendous!

Computers I upgrade yearly or pass them down to my daughter. What she really wants now if my old Iphone. Cars I like to keep until at least 100k. I would like to keep it long enough to buy a Mini Cooper companion. It would mean breaking free of having an SUV, but I can see doing it.

For a fun car like the clubman, I want to hold on to it for a long time.

7 Years, minimum (unless Galileo meets an unfortunately early demise). I would say I would keep him forever...but I figure that in 7 years or so, there will be a lot of changes in technology that I will want to take advantage of. I am a bit spoiled (I spoil myself!).

Same here, and I want a convertible- I'll probably swap out in 4 or 5 years.

I don't even have mine yet and my older brother is calling dibs on my future MCSCL if my fiance didn't already claim it. Might be fun just to torment him and drive it a real long time.

I wish I were so lucky. I'll be upside-down on the value/warranty before I know it. (already 4k miles and I'm just into the second month of ownership). I usually run cars/trucks a few years past payoff, then I'm ready for something new. I guess we're all somewhat 'banking' on the reliability/durability of MINI to some degree.

I would love to say I'm in it for the long haul but situations change. Even though I've had no problems yet, it is still a machine ready to break down, especially when the warranty ends.

I'm hoping that my new Mini can break me of the "every 3 years" habit I've been in since I started driving.

I plan on keeping it till it dies or is to expensive to keep. So a long time. My girlfriend tells me that when a newer Mini comes out or if they bring over a cool British convertible I will probably consider trading it but we will have to see.

It depends. Of it is a great car (and I expect it to be!), 6 to 8 years. If not, I'll trade it at the end of warranty and get a shiny new one!

It depends on reliability. If, out of warranty, it becomes a constant repair headache, I'll likely move on. I already have one BMW out of warranty, I don't know if it makes sense to have two.

I buy cars and keep them till they die. Had my Passatwagon for 10 years. I hope to get at least that or more out of my Clubby

I'm with you on that, Lurch70. Love the car to death, but I do not want to own one without a warranty.

The best part about this is the projected residual value of the MINI....I'm looking to cash out at the end of the warranty and buy me a brand new one!

you'll be right side up before you know it with a MINI ... on my first coupe I was right side up in less than a year.
