Hi all,

For my Birthday Last week i wanted to go Drag Racing, So that is what it did. Took Swiss Miss for her first Racing day. And i will hope to be AutoXing her next spring.

I put up a video shot at New England Dragway last Friday night.


She did a respectable 15.81 in the Quarter Mile at 88.14 MPH. Not bad for a totaly stock MCCS loaded just as if i was taking her to work.

We got four (4) runs in before someone blew an engine and closed the track for 45 minutes. By the time they got tje track cleaned up there was line of over 150 cars waiting to get on the track so we left knowing that we had a great time and would be going back in the spring after some performance mods are done.

 

Not bad at all considering my old 1977 Z28 Camaro with a 350 V8, 4 barrel carb and 4 speed only ran a 15.71 at 89 stock. Not to mention I did get a tad less MPGs with the Camaro. And I swear it wasn't as fun to drive as a MINI!

Note:
After watching the run again it appears you may have short shifted third a bit early. It sure didn't seem to wind out as much as 2nd did. I'll have to get mine to the track once it comes in.

 

I only made it to Third Gear. But i may have short shifted 2nd.

I really need to adjust the cammer bracket so that i can see the Tach. This would allow me to be able to really see what i did.

yeah, would be great to see what the RPMs were doing. Very cool tho! thanks for sharing

 

Are you sure you went thru the lights in third? It sure sounded like you shifted three times.
