Pure Silver Clubman Owners Club

Having spent way too much time on this site searching out the photos of a Pure Silver Clubman with whatever color roof, I think it's about time this color had its own thread. I mean everyone knows that Pure Silver is the color known for speed. It's also quite beautiful in its own understated way.

I know there are several other Pure Silver drivers on this forum, and hope if they check back in they'll post here. In the mean time: http://www.flickr.com/groups/mini_clubman/

Rails

Otra,

Are those rails factory installed? I don't recall ever speaking about them with my MA. They look nice on your MCC.

Yes, they are factory installed and thank you for the compliment. I'm extremely pleased to have them.

I believe they were only going to be available for September builds for the '09s, but can't swear to that. Here is a thread about them, if you're interested: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=151139 Last time I looked at the configurator, I believe they were shown as an option under "Performance and Handling".

Yes, I grant you special friend dispensation.

You know there are several other Pure Silver Clubman owners around here, but I guess they're all too busy driving to check in.

Here's mine! BTW, I can't get the site to link to the other two pics. Anyone know why? And is something wrong with my camera?! It looks like a VERY very pale blue, not silver, from this angle!

It looks silver to me. Its not always easy to get the best light and then adjust the colors/saturation. As for the other photos, on NAM one can only post a specific photo once, that's it. You can, however, link to your photos if you've uploaded them to a site such as Flickr, etc.

Congratulations and I hope you enjoy your new MINI!

I just ordered purest (roof is the same color) silver Clubman with roof rails. Was afraid to order it with black roof - I have a black car now and it's a dust and sun magnet (I live in California). I'll make some pictures as soon as I get my Mini (in 7-8 weeks, according to MA)

It will be beautiful! Now that I have seen these rails in real life, I think that the "purest" roof will work really well with them.

It will be hard to wait, but it will be worth it.

Copywrites, so glad to see you back here! See, where there were few now there are...well less few. Which beach is that - not the Outer Banks? I forget where you were traveling this summer, but your Pure Silver looks as though she's basking in glory there.

You have a great memory Otra. That photo was taken (I think!) on the eastern shore of Virginia, on our way down to the Outer Banks. Except that the Great Dismal Swamp was on fire and the Outer Banks was covered in smoke, so we spent the week in Williamsburg instead.

I love the rails on your Clubman! Might have to see about getting a pair if they are available.

Wow, good memory for some things I guess but I had forgotten about that big fire!!

Too bad you didn't make it to the OBX this time, perhaps next summer...when we hope to be down there, too.

The roof rails are supposedly only factory installed, but one never knows for sure. Thanks for the compliment. I think it was a good decision to offer them as options.

I think there is at least one Pure Silver that is pretty new to the fold that hasn't had his/her/its picture post on here yet.

Hey, U-2 - love that look. I was very torn between going with a black roof to "hide" the rails or not. Yours does look especially nice. Please post some more and be sure to add them to the Clubman Flickr pool - yours will be the first Clubman of that color combination with rails.

Our other car is a black Murano and we decided against a dark roof. And for some reason I do not like the silver rear trim. So, for us PS/PS was a logical choice.
As for the pictures - as soon as I have a time to take a decent ones

It looks like the "Pure Silver" are a pretty exclusive bunch.
Please count me in!!
Within the next few weeks I will add 18" O.Z. Records and H&R Springs.
Updated pictures will follow.
Happy Motoring.
