Clubman with mudflaps? Photos? P/N for rears?

Does anyone have photos of mudflaps installed on their Clubman? Any issues with installation? If you have any photos and/or comments, I'd like to hear from you.

Thanks,

Not difficult if you're reasonably handy. They go on with a combination of screws and double-sided foam tape. Easiest to remove each wheel in turn. Careful not to have the tape stick where you don't want it. The instructions are pretty good. Installed mine ten days ago.

Here's a few pics of mine. The muddy pictures were taken while driving across the Zuni Reservation from NM to AZ - didn't know it at the time, but the paved road was GONE for about 5 miles. They were installed by the dealer before I picked it up.

A certain MINI just COULDN'T resist the mud!

After a nice bath...

Looks like the mud flaps definitely protected your paint, otherwise you might of had some nasty scratches.

This is the first MINI I've owned and I don't have anything to compare it to (flaps or none) but I do feel the mud spray would have been much worse for sure. When I washed the vehicle, there were no scratches at all.

Nice Clubman!

Thanks very much for the comments and photos. We get winter up here, and they control it with road salt and sand. So, I was thinking that mudflaps would offer some additional paint protection. The plastic wheel arches and sills should also perform well in our climate.

Cheers,

I had mine installed by the same guy who did my tint for $45. It only took about 20 minutes and they did a great job.

This is a timely thread. I was at the dealership yesterday pricing them out. I think one weekend I'm going to be installing them on my Clubman.

It's been raining a lot recently here (tho today is beautiful!), and the place I've noticed Dory really takes a hit with splashed mud and crud is on the club doors in back - they are twice as dirty as the rest of the car. I suspect mudflaps won't help much with this?? Or would they? Interested in opinions....

Nope, those barn doors wouldn't be helped with the mud flaps. Maybe those with a roof spoiler could weigh in and say if their boot stays cleaner with the spoiler?

Where might one purchase flaps for the rear? I found fronts with Moss Motors.

Outmotoring has the fronts and the rears. The pricing at the Canadian MINI dealership was comparable for the fronts, but the rears were much more expensive (over CA$100). Since I was ordering a grill, I ordered the front and rear mudflaps from Outmotoring as well.

Cheers,

Mine were installed by the dealer EVENTUALLY.
I ordered the car in Feb, with flaps. It arrived in April but the dealer didn't have any flaps so ordered them. They finally arrived in July and when they installed them, they did it incorrectly. When I pointed it out, they fixed it, but it took nearly 5 hours to get it done right - they said it was the first set they'd done and they're not the same as regular MINI.
Anyway - now that they're on, I find they really help, as I live in a rather muddy area.

I've thought about ordering some but am considering getting half of the set now and the other half later. Why do the rear flaps cost TWICE as much as the front flaps? Doesn't make much sense.

I just received my mud flaps in the mail. I think the rears are twice as much, because they're twice as big!

Hmmm...I didn't see any double-sided tape. I see some clips and some screws. Does anyone have a PDF copy of the installation instructions (front and rear)?

Cheers,

Ahh, okay, I now see the double-sided tape...right on the mudflap.

Hmm. I noticed that the part number for the rears is not what I was told it was at the dealership:
Dealership P/N: 82-16-0-430-736
Outmotoring P/N: 82-16-0-415-115 (which, I believe is the same as a R56)

Can anyone confirm the factory P/N for the rear mudflaps?

Looks like I might have to send them back...so much for saving any money.

I got mine from Classic Mini, PN 82-16-0-430-736 for the rears, $68.40 wth NAM discount. Fronts are same as R56, 82-16-0-415-114, $20.40 from Classic.

I did the same thing from outmotoring..... I haven't received them yet though..... Have you checked to see if they fit?

I was at dealer to get a set of mud flaps and they don't fit with the factory aero kit. Any one know of aftermarket set that will work?
