125 and BEYOND!!!
Cerridwen's break-in is complete.... Boy, can she haul some A**! Got her up to 125 before stupid drivers got in our way. Can't wait till our commute tomorrow morning when no one will be on the road that's when we will test MINIs supposed claim of the 136 mph that the clubmans can go.

Great, Those Unlimited speeds on the Autobahn are nice. I had a 1983 VW rabbit back in the mid 80's that i took from the US to England with me. Had a couple of ocassions to drive to Germany and let it go. Had it up to 123 MPH with out mods and then after some nice performance mods had it over 130.
Good luck on the reach to top end. I am hoping you can make it.

Lilliux, where in Germany are you? I lived there for 3 years a long time ago, in Tübingen and Nördlingen. I actually learned to drive a stick on Black Forest roads. In a 4-speed Fiat Panda. The twisties in that area are epic. And the Autobahn is fantastic! So when are you doing the Ring, huh?
Now I'm starting to want some Glühwein and gebrannte Mandeln.... Hope where you are is lovely this time of year! But then, most of Germany is.

The driver-side doorsill warning-sticker(s) on my 06 R53 provided me much mirth when I read them for the first time and it instructed me on what the proper tire pressure is for speeds in excess of 100mph. MINIUSA is asking us to take our cars to the track!

I recall hitting some where around the neighbhrood of 280kmh on 540i. Just the on ramp is like a 1/4 mile long to get up to speed. Germans might haul on the highway but they are far better drives any us.

On the way back from Garmisch, Germany today. I was cruising along with traffic at 110mph. Feeling a little froggy I kicked it up to 130mph. What a blast! It had more to give, but I still realize it is a small car and concrete can really hurt! We were getting passed by larger Bahn Burners like we were standing still. Porches, BMW's etc...

I am ashamed to admit racing a ricer one night about 3 months ago on Route 146. If the damned clubbie didn't handle so well I never would have even considered it. I had it up to 130 when he faded away and I was able to resume a more deliberative speed. It all happened so fast(duh) that I didn't comprehend it all until later. The scary thing is that there seemed to be plenty more in the tank if I had needed it.
And for once in my life there wasn't a statie around the corner. I can't imagine what the fine would have been, and how I would have explained that at home.
