I'm pulling the trigger!!!
So after many months debating on what Mini to get and annoying everyone in my family with questions I've finally decided and I'll place my order which will be the following:
Chocolate brown Mini Clubman non s ( I only drive one mile to work)
Brown leather interior with oak trim
manual transmission
premium package
cold weather package
leather shifter and brake
roof rails
front fog lights
driving lights
silver sports stripe
upgraded speakers
armrest
comfort access system
invisashield
mudflaps
If anyone has any comments/suggestions I'd love to hear them

I have to wait until Tuesday to order it (my son will be in daycare then) so I don't yet know when delivery will be.. and yup, one mile drive to work. I put on at the most 5,000 miles a year at the very top, however, I expect that will change cause I'm planning road trips already.

With a one mile commute, I recommend walking, riding a bike, or taking the long route now and again in your Clubman. Why?? If the car doesn't reach operating temps often enough, it may start throwing weird codes (you probably won't see them, but the SA will)....the battery may not receive full warranty coverage either, unless it has a chance to charge properly. This is happening to a friend of mine. The car runs great...it just ain't happy unless it's driven properly now and again.

The advice/opinions/suggestions I've read on this forum have helped me immeasurably in deciding on what I needed and wanted vs. what was unnecessary and I thank everyone on this forum.
P.S. Does anyone know a good website to order the clear bra through?

Nice color! You're going to love it!
I will second Geoffv suggestion above - get the Xenons! They're wonderful.
Prepare to spend some time one on one with your new MINI, going through the manual and figuring how all the settings and configurations. Get a thorough briefing from the dealer.
Some settings - like setting the input level on your ipod to avoid distortion - are buried in all the literature and others - like setting getting the radio to display the correct RDS/PTY settings - are buried in the threads on this site. There is a lot of valuable info here on NAM, so while you're waiting for delivery, start reading.

After months and months I've finally ordered !!! Although I decided against the clear bra and driving lamps. My MA gave the mudflaps and rubber mats license plate holders for free (which they should). Not much room for arguing over price I discovered on special orders. Anyone else find this also.

Congrats on your order, let the fun begin..I think you did well getting what you got. I paid MSRP and had to buy the mats.. My choice at thate time of course.. I got the car I wanted just the way I wanted it. I applaud those getting anything for free. But someone pays for it..Most of all get ready for lots of enjoyable motoring.

Congrats!
I did not get anything for free when I got mine. Almost all MINIs are special orders. When I ordered in late June, only 4 cars out of about 40 on the lot, were "spec"; all the others were custom orders for customers waiting for pick-up.
Once you get a the production number, get a copy of the order asap from your MA to verify the order has everything you want. It may not look that way on paper, but they can check on their own computer - often the paper order will differ or not list all the options; their computer will. You can often change something up the "build" date.
I added some things after I "ordered". Until the car went into "production" I was able to update the order. We changed the color to the Hot Chocolate and added the roof rails (ended up 2nd '09 Clubman to come out of factory with those).
Good luck, keep us posted and post some pics when you get it. And join the Hot Chocolate Club.
