Where can I purchase 18" JCW Clubman wheels?

Clubman Owners,

Ive been back and forth a million times about what wheels I want to buy for my clubman. I really want to stick with OEM just to keep things clean...

I was just curious if anyone knew where I could purchase the new jcw cooper/clubman wheels?

I imagine the BMW/MINI dealer will have them but I just wanted to see if anyone knew of another location I can do this...

this is what im looking for

Thanks for your help guys...

Yes, check with your dealer, although you may be disappointed to learn that they are only available in 17". There are a few other nice JCW designs available in 18" though, probably for roughly the same price.

Hey, thanks I never put 2 and 2 together on this one...

They ARE 17's, even better...

I have seen many of these wheels in person at our shop and just love the design on these...

I will have to make a run to my dealer this week anyways for an oil change... research time...

There's a dealer in TN (Roadshow MINI - Ken Bird is who I dealt with/service was excellent!) that sells alot on ebay. They were hands down the cheapest place I found to buy my JCW wheels. I got caps, sensors, lugs, wheels, locks, etc. from them and then had my local tire shop put non-runflats on and I couldn't be happier.

I agree with your thinking that the stock wheels may be cleaner but I have a couple of thoughts you may want to consider and I welcome differing opinions.

The JCW and other stock wheels for that matter, appear to be way overpriced compared to aftermarket wheels from other sources like the Tire Rack. I am estimating a premium of about $500, but that really varies based on the wheels chosen.

For instance, my dealer has the R108 18" JCW wheels for $2650, which includes RF tires and mounting (not tax). This looked like a good deal until I priced out a comparable setup on the Tire Rack for about $2100 delivered.

I have also found the JCW wheels to be heavier than what an equivalent amount of money can buy as well. I am not sure if they are better constructed, or worth the premium, but again an equivalent amount of money appears to buy a lighter wheel, which many will argue is better for handling.

I think this is all very subjective, but I am curious why many folks shell out the money (premium) for the JCW wheels.

If your looking to save a ton of money and just want the look - I found these on ebay (not exactly the same the link is to r90 knock offs)

I've been considering the ebay wheels simply cause I love the look but don't have the budget for the real deal and I'm just going around town not at the track

My decision to justify the extra expense of the JCW wheels vs aftermarket was they are a direct fit. The R56/55 models have larger diameter lug bolts which means alot of the aftermarket wheels have to have the holes enlarged (which could possibly nulify the wheel's warranty), or you could go with one of the lug conversion kits. When I factored this in with the deal I got at Roadshow, the JCW's only ran me around $200 more than aftermarket for the entire setup.

For me, it was worth that to be able to get the wheels and just slap them on the car without having to go through any other processes to make them fit.

I was not aware there were bolt issues with aftermarket wheels. I figured that wheel manufacturers placed the holes where they needed to be.

Your logic makes perfect sense. I would probably go with the JCW wheels myself (and may still) when the price gets to a point that is more competitive with aftermarket options.

If my memory is correct, I think I got all of the above from Roadshow for around $1300, so it's not as bad as many would think.

The holes in the aftermarket wheels are in the right pattern, they are just too small in diameter. Most have a hole that is 12mm, and the new MINIs have a bolt that is 14mm. It's not a huge difference, but enough that you have to drill the holes out.
