i was about to do the same myself last weekend, but chickened out after having less than stellar results from the touch up paint job i tackled first. those autosharp pens sounded like they would be the perfect tool for what i need to do, but it didn't work very well for little bitty chips. color match was good, but couldn't get the paint flow in the medium range...it was all or next to nothing.

Yah, picked it up 1-9-09 and got to drive it home in rush hour traffic as a blizzard is barreling in. Took 2 hours to get home, 50 mile trip and just parked it. Waited for the next "nice" day to wash all the salt off. Have taken it out maybe 4 times since then because of all the snow we have received. Still drive my Nissan Pathfinder for the snow. Not in a great hurry to put miles on it as we will be doing a lot of travelling to visit all the grandkids (S. Carolina, Florida, Oklahoma and Columbus, OH). Just retired from UPS after almost 31 years so I am waiting for my "Old Farts Motoring Club" badge. to fully enjoy "motoring". Thanks for the compliment on the lettering, I really like it. I have to laugh at myself whenever I do take the car out, I always seem to stall it once each trip, what a LOSER.

Ha! I got my Clubbie on the same day in Michigan - drove it an hour and a half home thru the same snowstorm, then drove it to work the next day -- that was the minus 15 degree day!!!
Mine's a daily driver -- it replaced the 1980 TR7 Convertible I had been driving as a daily driver -- 10,000 miles on the TR from July 08 to February 09. On Friday the 6th I drove the TR in snow an hour and a half to a client meeting when the radiator sprung a big leak... it's a longer story, but I just had to grow up (a little) and buy a new car :-)))
Oh, and I do like your clubman lettering... looked at badger-ride (yeah yeah badgeyourride) and played with their 'view your emblem' thingy -- that was fun -- you can write, um, anything in there and see it in chrome!
I might have to do CLUBBIE for mine :-))) see, I don't have to grow up TOO much!

Welcome to the club... old farts, that is. Your lettering looks great. It's interesting that you added lettering... seems like most folks want to de-badge. Nice Clubman, believe me you're gonna love your MINI. I'm a fellow retiree and I love my MCS.
PS. Bring your Clubman to the Pub in Rocky River on June 9th. More details in the Burning River regional forum.

We plan on attending the Pub but will also be bringing my dog, we'll stay in the parking lot with him. I believe wagons and chrome are back in. I understand the younger ones like the debadge and primer look, I'll pass, I'm old school and like tasteful things on my clubbie and like the pop of the chrome.Thanks.

Snow tires
No, I didn't use the runflats. Actually, I had purchased a set of 16" Bridgespokes off of ebay, TPMS from tire rack along with some Michelin X-ice tires. Had them mounted and balanced at Wally mart, I actually trust these guys here in Oberlin. Took them down to the dealership the week before I picked the car up and had them put the snow tires on the car and just picked up the runflats when I picked the car up, had my nissan Pathfinder as my back up. I felt very confident driving home even without the DTC on, I only worried that someone else was going to hit me but I made it home safely. Even passed my neighbor while he was driving my pathfinder home in 4WD.I'll be taking those tires and rims off and installing a set of 17" with Bridgestone Potenzas as soon as the weather changes. Also purchased from ebay, Tire rack with the same WallyMart installers. They are very careful not to scratch the rims, probably the 5th set of tires I've had them do for me in the past few years. Have the original rims with runflats stored in my back garage for safekeeping.

halfway considering putting mine on the club door itself, or underneath the side scuttle on the passenger side. the mini and cooper s lettering on the boot doors don't leave much room for additional lettering, and although the new clubman lettering fit, it looks a little crowded and asymetrical to me now. haven't decided yet, and will hafta wait for it to warm up again anyway, as i missed my chance a couple of weeks ago.
