A little hearse

My wife and I just ordered a new Clubman S on Saturday. We're replacing our '04 LY/B MCS, so everyone we know knows what a MINI is.

For the rest of the weekend, everytime I heard her on the phone telling someone about the purchase, this is what she was saying: "It looks just like a little hearse, except that it's red instead of black."

Actually have heard it referred to as such, though not by someone who was buying one.

Perhaps this is something to consider writing into my will - must be transported to the great beyond via MINI Clubman?

Hearse?

The only car that I have recently heard people say thought looked like a hearse is the P T Cruiser.
The closest thing to a negative term I have heard regarding a Clubman is that it looks like a miniature station wagon.
I can, however, imagine OTRA putting that clause into her will.. ..

My mother-in-law thought that a PT Cruiser that I once owned looked like a hearse.
The PT Cruiser was the worst car purchase that I ever made.

It would be a great vehicle for someone interested in starting a "Pet Semetary"

If it is used as a hearse, I suggest not mentioning MINI handling prowess in the twisties.....it might be off-putting to clients.

If it was used as a hearse it would probably wake up the dead person!

I sometimes refer to it as my clown hearse --> since many of my coworkers call MINIs clown cars.

Yes, HIS name is Carmen Dragon, named after the late Hollywood Bowl Symphony Orchestra Conductor and father of "The Captain" of Captain & Tenille, Daryl Dragon...

It needs purple tinted glass, red curtains, and a shrunken head dangling from the rearview. Maybe a "PHANTASM" vanity plate?
