HOLY TIRE PRESSURE BATMAN!
WOW.....
Well first off I should have checked this out when we left the dealership so this is my bad first off.
Today I decided to check the tire pressures after 6 weeks of ownership. MY LORD they were high compared to what the manual recommended. 46 PSI in every one of them!
Now with that being said, I usually run a higher pressure in my tires for the fuel economy but that was a bit high considering the max pressure recommended by Continental was 51 PSI.
So got some good practice in resetting the TPMS and put them down to 39 PSI all the way around.
Anyone else have this issue when they took delivery?

My tire pressures were just a bit low when I took delivery, but two times when I was in for scheduled service, my loaner car's tire pressures were 12psi BELOW recommended. If that's how they take care of their own cars, it makes me wonder how are they going to take care of mine? So I always check the fluid levels before I leave the dealership, and the tire pressures when I get home.

Oh yes the tires were cold....had been sitting over night in the garage. I have 16" wheels btw. IIRC the manual stated that for 100+ driving with two passengers it was about 38 front and back. I tend to have my tires on the higher pressure side of the house...usually 15% less than max indicated on the tire for fuel economy. Has worked wonders in my Jetta!
BUT LORD 46 PSI on cold ones......glad I checked!

It used to be that the tyres were over inflated a bit to compensate for any leak down during post manufacture storage and delivery transport. Having purchased many cars that were not properly prepared for delivery I seldom even take a test ride in a car I am seriously considering with out checking the tyre pressure with my own digital gauge. Finding them way off and sending the test drive car back for adjustment is always interesting. ajm

Check the fricking tire pressure every couple months, max, or you may get bad treadwear, which is EXPENSIVE.
A lovely FYI. Here in north Texas, it suddenly hit 110 degrees this week.
Two mornings my TPMS went red on the dash.
Until you reset or adjust the air pressure, the red symbol stays on your console. You'll be an expert on resetting and using the OBC.

I purchased a couple of Souls about 3 or 4 weeks ago and I thought one of them was just too rough for a production vehicle. I finally got around to checking the tire pressure and they were all around 55! I can't believe it took so long to let the excess pressure out, which was strange because they are such low profile tires. My daughter's Soul Sport always had a better ride than our Soul Exclaim but letting the tire pressure down to 33.5 made it even better. What is the deal with dealer's make-readies now days?
