on a long, deserted (I had a friend ahead of me scouting)glass-smooth newly surfaced state highway in an unnamed state that has a lot of cowboys and antelope critters I got my 05 S up to a tick over 140 on the dial, 137 on the digital, exactly what the specs told me it'd do. However, I didnt keep it there long due to critters by the roadside--and that the car started "floating" at about 125-130. I think I had it there less than 15 seconds.

I now understand the value of aerokits. Oh, and when the digital said 137 I hit the instant mpg setting--26.5 But it was pretty level.

My 09 only to about 105. hell, with the tuning kit I dont even hit 6th until at least 95

 

I do a lot of driving on the Autobahn, the fastest was 138 per GPS, don't recall what the digital read in kilometers. Usually I set the cruise at about 200k, and I average about 26-27 mpg per calculations not the computer. I recently took a trip with the wife, no sport button and averaging about 80 mph and got 34 mpg. Speaking of high speeds, the windshield wipers are really loud at speeds over 100 mph (I was about to miss a flight, I know it's stupid). I don't know what I'm going to do when I get back to the states, but I guess I will get great gas milage.

132 at 7000 feet in Colorado past May

 

Yeah I guess anyone can say they have gone so fast, but I'm honestly not crazy enough to try to drive at stupid speeds while trying to hold a camera and take a picture. If I tried to drive that fast with my wife in the car I would never hear the end of it. Although we were driving somewhere once and she looked over at me and said "why are we going under 80?", I thought it was just a casual drive, but too slow for her.

 

90mph in a curve posted at at 45mph, highway 60 onto 101 in Phoenix. This was at 445am on a sunday morning no other vehicles around. Thats my disclaimer.
