Actually, I have a friend in Hawaii, HUGE surfer, that would adore, and prolly kill to have this color, but he's a freak 'o nature, so his opinion doesn't count!(I mean, he'd also add hot pink, and hot blue accessories!)
I like it, but the whole caulk and grout thing doesn't really fit the car. Even though it's hard to read from the pictures, I like the placement of the text on the roof.
I could see this color car promoting something like a yogurt business.
I couldn't help but do a search for his business out of curiousity since I live in the Bay Area...he's even got a drawing of his car on his webpage = )
I'm surprised how disturbed I am by this use of the clubbie as a billboard—and I actually like the color and graphics. Guess I think of the Clubman as a work of art in its own right.
Speaking of advertising, there is a company in Raleigh that uses Coopers and Clubmans (Clubmen? Clubbies?) for their fleet. I've seen them a few times on my way to work, including when they first got the Clubman. Here is a link to their newsletter (pdf) that has a short article on why they are using MINIs. And over in High Point I've seen a Cooper that is wrapped for PayChex service.
That color really works when getting attention. Don't know whether I like it or not. The funny thing is I wouldn't mind driving a Clubbie in that color. I'm not always put off by neon colors. I wonder how a Clubbie would look in other neon colors like orange or blue.
