Protective Boot Space Cover
A search did not run up any info so I would like to ask if anyone has tried the Protective Boot Space Cover that Mini offers - this is the one that covers the entire boot area of the Clubman - from the bumper to the rear of the front seats and the sides as well. It is black with checkered side panels.
Thanks

That is quite a freebie - Is it very versatile i.e. can you use it without having to put up the side panels and/or the part that protects the backs of the front seats? How do the side panels stay up - poochstyle uses suction cups I think to hold up the side panels.

I have looked at poochstyle and that is certainly one option that I am considering - just want to know if there are any + or - to the OEM kit.

i only set it up the one time so far, just to make sure it fit and that i understood what kind of time commitment it took to setup. the construction i really like a flexible and open box, so i would say, no, not really designed to use w/o back panel and side panel anchoring. could you lay the whole thing flat...maybe. side panels are secured with velcro, back panel straps to back seats. don't recall there being any velcro on the bottom, so not using the side panels would prolly result in the cover sliding all over the place.
best picture and description i could find is at outmotoring.com.

Mine has been installed since day one. I have left the rear seats folded down and treat my Clubman as a station wagon. It completely protects the back area from:
1) A full load of Ikea furniture stacked to the hilts
2) Multiple dog trips
3) Multiple camping trips
4) 1/2 Cord of fire wood
5) $450 worth of Costco groceries
Etc, Etc, the only downside is that you really nee to pull it back towards the rear doors before you mount the suction cups or the rear flap will not properly protect the rear bumper when folded out and down.
Worth every penny of the $271!

Heh, i bought one of these ages ago, but never used it, now i am installing. so far so good as the directions are in german. I seem to have it adequately installed with the rear seats down But my question is can you also use it with the rear seats up? there seem to be some extra velcro that must be for some reason... only thing i can think of is to shorten it so it could be used in another model of maybe with rear seats up?
anyone know? anyone have english instructions?

Mine has been a mixed bag. Good for the dogs, but- it doesn't stick to the windows for long with those suction cups, so the sides don't stay protected consistently. Also, after a year, some of the vinyl coating peels off and there are little white bits underneath when it comes out. Mine has been in storage now for a while after it's initial success.
I'd look to a different design.
