Yet another Sirius Satellite Radio Thread...

What do you suppose this means?

No.--Description---- Supplement-Qty--From Up To----Part Number---Price
01--Satellite- radio--------------1----3/2009------65129192273--$618.75
01--Satellite- radio--------------1------------------65129192274--$618.75

I am being offered part # 65129192273 for my Clubman from someone, which says that part # is good for cars produced up to 3/09 (my assumption), but I think the production of my car was 4/09 (I have to check the door plate to know for sure, not in the mood to go out and check it now, I'll confirm tomorrow). What could possible have changed to the system in the car to suggest the need for a new part number?

There probably has been no change in the car itself but most likely the new er part number has one or two extra features or changes in programing that make it a new part number. The up to date is where they started putting the newer part number in cars from the factory. This is very common among all car manufacturers.

In fact there have been some part number changes on the OEM Stereo head unit just because the part number of the main circuit board changed part nubmer. No extra features to changes to programing just a change in the parts that make up the compete unit.

I was wrong...the production month on my car is 2/09, I guess the unit offered to me should work?
Thing is, its just the unit itself with no other connectors or brackets of any sort. Do I need anything else other than the unit itself?
