Lessee...78mph average for 9 hours (but this IS Socal!)...a few pissbreaks, a few lookie-loo photo-ops, In-n-Out and Foster's dipped cones, trip to Bevmo, I'd say at LEAST 150 miles today.

So far i've driven 40 or so, i'll be doing another 60 or so today - that's probably it, tomorrows another day.

OH, forgot to add - Amanda surprised me and had a jcw strut bar installed in the engine bay. Really nice looking chrome, simple - but really dresses it up nicely!

 

I think MINIUSA and Amanda owe me a commission on this sale...Amanda, I need the lower door seal, hook me up, girl!

Day 4 now, 360 miles so far and counting. Loving it so far, a blast to drive- AND much roomier than I thought too!

Noticed the speaker behind me on the drivers side making a weird crackling sound sometimes, even when the stereo is not playing -anybody heard (of this) before?

I'm gonna try to get to south bay this weekend for something else, so i'll probably just bug them about that then :-P

Great car, recomend it to anybody that's unsure if they want one or not.

 

Yes loose black trim piece around the opening or the grill loose. On pasanger side (clubdoor) the grill was loose and on the drivers side it was the black accent trim.

Unfortunately that is a rather difficult piece to get to to take out to have repaired. They have to start at the back of the car and remove every panel from the back door forward to get that panel out to redo the plastic welds that hold it all together.

I.E. procedure.
1. Remove Barn Door Sill
2. Remove C-Pillar cover
3. Remove Rear cargo area right side cover (seatbelt goes thru it)
4. Remove Rear side cover
5. Remove rear seats backs
6. remove rear seat bottom
7. Finally remove side panel over speaker.

For some one that has done it a number of time before it will take them 20-30 minutes to get that all removed. And at least that much time to reinstall it all. Plus what ever time it takes them to actually fix the problem.
