Unbelivable clubman new rear spoiler installation

I just purchased a new rear spoiler for my clubman from the dealer and guess what, they do not know how to install it. They have had my car for over a week and still have not found the installation instructions for it. Great efficency from the mini dealer. Does anyone know were I can find the instructions for this install.

Here is a link to the R55 Clubman JCW spoiler.

Should work for the other spoiler as well. They both mount the same way.

The regular or more square spoiler is glued to the roof but, the new JCW one is screwed to the roof and those are the instrucctions that the dealer has now idea were to find.

Yep, that's how they did mine. The red herring are the screw holes at the base of the spoiler. Apparently they are for attaching to painting apparatus and not the car...

The spoiler that you installed is glued to the car. In the cace of the new version. It comes with the screws all ready permanentlly fitted to the spoiler and are not for painting but, to be screwd on to the roof. I just can not believe that I have to do the leg work for the dealer and that they have no idea how to install it. In urgent need for installation instructions.

He has the curved Mini spoiler - Part# 51-62-7-224-710

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...51&fg=20&hl=1f

It is attached by four studs, headliner comes down in back and holes drilled through the roof and nuts fastened.
There are no factory directions, as it is not considered an aftermarket install.

I'd like to add the spoiler to my MCCS. What was the final price on all that? Part, painting, installation? Did you end up having the dealer do it? Anyone get it done aftermarket?

I think the roofline needs some help and the spoiler would do it.

I do not have mine installed yet and plan on painting and installing it myself.

It was purchased from Morristown Mini for about $220.

Hope to get it installed in the next couple of weeks, still doing research on pulling the headliner down and attachment. It is a little scary as you need to drill holes in the roof, so getting to placement correct the first time is critical.

I'm not that adventurous. I'll hold out and have someone else do it.

A gentle bump. I am also interested in installing a 51627224710 to my Clubman JCW. I like the look of that spoiler more. When installing the OEM rails I read that there are guides in the inside of the roof where to drill. How about this spoiler? Or do I need to mark from above and drill?
