Cargo Net "Loop" is Upside Down...

Okay, so I've searched and searched...can't find anything.

The background: there are 4 stainless steel "loops" in the boot that you hook the cargo net to in order to hold stuff down...

The problem: one of the loops was in the "downward" position when the flat load floor was put in, so the loop is STUCK (half obstructed by the floor) and there is ZERO room to hook the net clasp around it.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?!?!? I have a call in to my MINI dealer, but thought I would post the question here. I was xmas shopping the other day and could only use 3 of the 4 loops to secure the packages...it didn't work very well...

I can take a photo if needed??

Pics needed. Metal loops (painted, not chrome) on my Gen2 are welded on. No chance for them to be in the wrong position.

If your problem is what I am thinking it is, then it's an easy fix.

The flat floor comes out, just fold up the folding part and pull straight back on the non-folding part of the floor. it should slide back about an inch then you can lift the whole thing out and flip up the hoop.

they do get tight in there though. use a butterknife to get under it and you should be fine.
