So Cheffry is in the shop

for a liquid swooshing noise in the dash and low coolant levels. sigh....

i have a loaner cooper S and i am seriously wondering......how do people function in non-clubbies ????? i couldn't even fit one laundry basket into the "trunk"! I get three in Chef, no sweat.

barn doors FTW

I have a JCW and have had Clubmans as loaners in the past. I always wonder how you guys deal with looking at the vertical part of the barn doors in the rear view mirror. It drives me nuts.

When I need to take something somewhere I use my Toyota Highlander.

darmog, i tried that, and there may have been enough room, but the trunk "privacy" board laughed at my attempts to get the baskets into the car. Does that thing come out ? The clubman version clips in for very easy removal, this one look tied on somehow ? Regardless, it cuts access room through the boot in half and renders that door practically useless. I then tried through the passenger door with the seat all the way up but alas, no club door and not enough clearance.

I'm thinking onefish's approach is best. have another car or have a clubman. oh, and as for the barn door view blocking, i use it to my advantage when i don't want the person behind me to see me at red lights...while rolling, i have no problem seeing the traffic behind me and never really notice it.

please people don't get me wrong. i would much rather be driving a cooper s then most of the ugly nonsense wandering the roads these days. i just think the younger brother clubman is superior in every way. especially hot chocolate ones....

Yeah, the rear shelf comes off quite easily. The strings have end loops that you just unhook from the rear door and then just pull the shelf off its hinges. I had my own MCS at the dealer for a JCW suspension install this week and was hoping for a Clubman loaner or a regular justacooper just for a change. Got a mellow yellow MCS instead. That color sure attracts alot more attention at the drive thru's

Liquid swooshing sound in the dash...? What was it?

Man I'm worried about reliability with my brand new Clubman S, I must say. I had a Subaru before and never had a single problem aside from wear and tear in all of its 138,000 miles.

there is seperate thread about the liquid swooshing noise. My dealer did a pressure check and every thing seemed normal. They bleed the lines and topped off the fluid level. Its been a week and the noise has not returned.

That being said i am still a little weary about the fluid level being low and have been checking it every two days. So far, so good.
