is clubman's rpm normal...

hi my wife bought her new 2010 mini cooper clubman last april. i also have my 2008 mini cooper "s".

i used to drive my 2008 mini cooper "s" and 2,000 rpm reach 60 mph. but i drove her new 2010 mini cooper without "s" clubman and notice 2,000 rpm reach only 55 mph slower. wow, 5 mph less on same rpm.

is this normal 2,000 rpm = 55 mph then push 2,300 rpm = 60 mph different than my old mini cooper s' 2,000 rpm = 60 mph then push 2,3000 rpm = 65 mph.

do i need to send it to service to have it tune up?

There's a differencein the gearing to take advantage of where the torque and HP peaks are, that's all. It does not need a tune up....
