slow leak in original run flats

Hi All...one of my original Contis has sprung a slow leak. I have the 195/55/16s and can't upgrade to larger wheels so... if you've replaced the runflats with regular 16"s, can you tell me what you got?

This is a great time to ditch and bury you RFTs for once and for all time. You will be amazed how much better your MINI will drive with real tires. I run Bridgestone Potenza Grids. These tires perform well in all seasons, ride well, handle well and are not too noisy. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....Model=Cooper+S

Ditto for me. I put on the Bridgestone Grid 019 tires and am very pleased with them. On my previous car (Outback Sedan) I used the previous generation Grids - 009. They had 75k miles on them, still looked good and performed well when I got rid of the car. Regular rotation and keeping pressure checked helped a lot with lifespan.

A side note. I had problems with pressure leaks form my original RFTs on the 'Ghost'. I wound up replacing all four wheels. Two had bent rims and two were cracked. (Lousy New Jersey roads) It might be worth having the rims looked at just to be sure.

Good luck with whichever tires you pick. TireRack has good choices and prices. You can call them and they will help with your decision.

You may want to look into the Yokohama Avid Envigors as well. I just bought some Bridgespokes (16") and am considering them. The Tire Rack reviews and test results are very very good. There is a $40 rebate that ends today.
