Clubman rear replacement wiper

Well, Fall is coming and the rainy season will start in a couple of weeks here in California. I am doing research to find some rear replacement wipers for my friend Lynn's Clubman S. So far I found the part number, 61620036625, on RealOEM.com

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...81&hg=61&fg=45

When I checked the price at Pelican Parts, they wanted $28 per pair.

Is there a cheaper alternative?

By the way, currently, Costco has a coupon for buy-one-get-one-free Goodyear Assurance wipers. They go for $7.99 each. They received good reviews, so I picked up a set for my car, and Lynn picked up a set for her Clubman.

Thank you for your reply. Does one have to prove that the wipers blades are leaving streaks before the MINI dealer will replace it under warranty, or will they just replace them no questions asked?

Rear wipers are $20 (US) each at the dealer, if you have to buy them but will be replaced under warranty once per year.

I bought a "replacement" at the local auto parts store based on the book they have near the wipers. It didn't fit.

Last time I was in for service I mentioned that they needed to be replaced and it was done no questions asked. But then one fell off the car during use and they wouldn't give me a replacement because I couldn't prove that someone hadn't just stolen it off the car. To make things worse, my dealer only sells the wipers in pairs, so that was $43.

That's what I was thinking but the previous post got my hopes up for a possible freebie!

I just washed my 6-week old Clubman and was surprised to find a missing rear wiper. Is it common to "lose one" on the road?

My friend knocked one of her wiper loose on her Clubman while washing her car. I guess it doesn't take much effort to make one come loose. Perhaps it was not installed properly at the factory. You can take it back to the dealer and get it replaced under warranty.

Went back to South Bay BMW/MINI today to get the missing rear wiper replaced. They were very accommodating and replaced the missing one and gave me a spare!
They did say it's common to have these rear wipers stolen. Watch out!
