Getrag Clubman?

They said this was at the Frankfurt Auto Show last year, but I haven't heard anything, or anyone talk about it. Kinda suprised considering how this is showing which basket MINI is putting their R&D eggs in for future development. Very interesting IMO! It's a hybrid setup, with a dual-clutch transmission. A transmission type that you see taking over the performance sector for automatic drivetrain seen in the likes of Skyline GTR's, Mitsubishi Evo X, even in the M3. Here's some spy shots and what with some blurps from the articles.
Once more, take a close look at this body kit. As much as it looks like a JCW aero kit, it's not, not even the fenders are the same. I like it!

Check out the side exit exhaust too.

As well as here.

The article photo's.

Notice! This is the REAR of the car! RWD or AWD?? SWEEEET!

"The Getrag model debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. It was meant to showcase the PowerShift dry dual clutch transmission fuel efficiency, and its ability to work as an integral part in a hybrid powertrain.

"According to a colleague in Germany, our 'spy photos' of the MINI Clubman S Hybrid prototype we told you about last week, actually featured a demonstration unit built by Getrag.
The Getrag model debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. It was meant to showcase the PowerShift dry dual clutch transmission fuel efficiency, and its ability to work as an integral part in a hybrid powertrain.
It also explored the theoritical, with engineers installing the firm's Boosted Range Extender electric drivetrain. The system featured an electric motor that is used most frequently, with an internal combustion engine to recharge the battery
Range of the Getrag Clubman S Hybrid was listed at 600 kilometers (373 miles), with the capability of hitting 160 km/h (99 mph). With a small battery pack, the car kicked out a scant 45 grams of CO2 per kilometer."

This hasn't been worked on in quite some time (see motoringunderground.com) for the long forum post.
It's an hybrid system where the front wheels are from a normal internal combustion engine, and the rear wheels are electrical driven.
At the time of display it was not intended to have the car run AWD; more of switch from gas FWD to electrical RWD, etc.
