Seat belt warning question...
Can the seat belt warning be changed to only come on when the vehicle is going in excess of 10 mph for example? I have a '09 Clubman "S".
The reason for this is that my private driveway is about 3/4 mile long with a gate and when I get back in my car after closing the gate I don't feel like belting up for the short very slow drive to the house.

Cravenspeed sells a Chimex which you could use to silence it. Buckle the Chimex when you get home. Leave it buckled until you leave again and get back in the car from closing the gate.

But maybe the seat belt chime operates strictly in conjunction with the seat sensors, and the system will start squawking at you if it senses a body in a seat without the corresponding seat belt latched, at any speed other than 0 mph...?
Either way, I don't think this sort of thing is "owner selectable." Your only options, I think, may be to live with it, or use something like the Chimex...

There is a long thread on this subject and so you dont have to read it in its entirety i will give you the details
over 100 hours by electronics engineers have been spent trying to get the thing to not chime. Not goint o happen at any reasonable cost electrically.
US Law states it must chime at any speed. It can not be turned off and
Chinmex is the best option or do as dave said.

In fact I have reprogrammed my car not to chime at me! I disabled the Check Control (the little tach window) for belt warning to be sent to the Cluster from the Restrain computer. Those engineers need to do some more research on NCS Expert. It is not difficult to change. But it does require many many many hours of work getting the software configured. And it requires D-CAN cable at about $120. I still need to confirm it actually does work in the Cooper I haven't driven it yet since I have the car torn apart right now.
