Clubman, the new off-roader?

I see many Clubman owners are trying to make their rides look sportier. However, the past winter, I got stuck out on some ice in a remote area in mine which got me wondering whether or not it would be wiser to maybe rough mine up a little more. I'm thinking of making it more off the tarmac oriented. Just wondering if there are other owners with this same view to bounce ideas off of.

Honestly, if it was all wheel drive, that's probably the direction I'd take mine. Beef up the suspension, smaller wheels with bigger all-terrain tires...it would be a fun little rally car.

Not enough ground clearance and a little could be obtained with some suspension upgrades but as mentioned FWD still limits the car.
