Dogs and the lay-flat floor
Traded up to a '10 Clubman to be able to fit our two greyhounds (85 lb & 65 lb - the rear seat of a Saturn was not cutting it!)
Has anyone else had problems with their dogs and the flat-floor boot cover? Ours seem determined to step on it in exactly the wrong place, making it fold (and making them very nervous). I'm thinking about building a wooden floor panel to cover that area, but I know there are drivers out there with even bigger dogs and I thought I would check to see what you all do first…

Getting an interior cover such as the OEM one from MINI or the ones from Pouch Style seem to help alleviate the problem.
I had custom beds made for my dog that have 2" upholstery foam in them and that has alleviated the problem 100%. When they are not there my 95 pound Great Pyrenees/Yellow Lab mix has the same problem.
