Remote start installs that have to bypass the OEM alarm and electronics are a b!%@#-and-a-half.
Partly because the key fob NEEDS to be in / near the vehicle to have the immobilizer system deactivate to start the vehicle.

Also the owners manual recommends against idling warm ups...
Page 39 '10 Clubman (Online version):
...."Do not let the engine warm up with the vehicle at a standstill. Move off immediately at a moderate engine speed.".......

And here is a thread where a number of people complain that they have bad running conditions when letting the car warm up. When they tried just driving off with out warm up the problems of low power and sputtering went away.
