Okay fellas I picked up a quick video of my car inside and outside. I honestly hate how the camera makes it sound like an srt4 a little. But honestly no drone and sounds awesome. Downpipe will be installed before the end of january.

Sorry I talk to myself a lot <3

On the newer cars (aka, since the factory refresh mid-2010), they added a lot of sound deadening mAterial. I did the to my MCS and it is the best mod I the exhaust ever. No drone, and a very deep tone (very Subaru-ish). I love it...

Ok I have been wanting to get this done. Everywhere I go I get quotes of about 200 give or take 20 bucks. Wtf. Last I heard people got this done for 50-100 bucks.

It's an 08 r56s and I live in the northern va area. Don't know if that has something to do with it or not. Kinda upsetting. I would rather spend money on an exhaust at that price. :/

Hmm. I had the guys at a local muffler shop do it for $20 because it is such an easy job. On my new car, I was able to do it myself with a saw and a welder. I know lots of MINI peeps in that area of VA. You should see if any of them want to help you out. Then, you would only be in it the cost of the pipe and the beer you would use as payment.

Yea. They put it on the lift, cut out the resonator, and replaced it with a straight pipe. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. That was done in Charleston, SC.

Wow man. They wanted to lower the exhaust made it sound like a big job. Now I have been around modding cars for a bit and could tell they were feeding me some bs. But more then one shop quoted me around the same. Wish I knew how to weld myself lol.
Tempting road trip for that price ha

Guess I will do some more hunting around!

I just had my mid cat and resonator removed on my 07 R56 S, sounds a lot better than stock and the back pressure sounds hella loud but i like it. I haven't driven it on the freeway yet.

Anyone who did both cat and resonator worried about inspections?
I only did the resonator cause I was worried about passing. Even though my last car was completely catless and still somehow passed.

What year is your Clubbie?

Also, as for the emissions question, it will pass with flying colors. JCW models only come with one and they pass.
