Whoaaa, nicee. the warp on the Hood scoop doesnt bother me IMO. I havent even bother replacing it since i barely notice it unless i rub my hand along it.

Theres nothing I need to look for though? I know the Mazdaspeed3s had issues with thier turbos and they'd smoke. Nothing similar with the Minis?

Make sure the warranty isn't just the Maintenance warranty. Or if it is be sure you realize that up front. When I bought mine used I was told it had a 72mo/100k warranty remaining. I found out the first time I had my oil change at my MINI dealer it was not a bumper to bumper, instead it was the MINI extended Maintenance warranty. Still very nice, but I turned down the finance office warranty thinking I was covered.

So I found out its only the Maintenance warranty on the S with 66k. DOes it only cover the brakes and oil changes then? It's an automatic so would I have to worry about replacing the clutch?

Also would you guys recommend me getting a bumper to bumper warranty through my credit union. They are able to just extend my financing length without raising how much I'm paying (actually lowering it by a couple dollars a month).

For some reason this thread had gone dead after your last question. Did you ever end up buying any of the listed Minis?

My wife fell in love with her Grey/Silver Mini and although it wasn't my first choice of colors - I have to admit it has grown on me. It's an '08 Clubman S.

After our recent issues with our Clubman S, I'd steer clear of a high miles Mini.

You'd guys recommend getting the S with the warranty even though it has more miles than the non-S base model that has 36000 miles on it or the CPO base model?
Hood warp on an 'S' is covered under warranty (with a new heat shield), for 50K or 48 months from purchase (whichever comes first).

Hopefully the color will grow on you too. We do get compliments on the color from people we meet when we park it. I've even had a lady MINI owner say she wished she got that color combination.
