Hill hold function

Recently my 08 Justa developed a code and a yellow brake warning light. I have had the fault code cleared twice now and the light came back on. Seems to work, including the hill holder function, for a few days but comes back. My dealer is a couple of hundred miles away. Has anybody had this problem and if so, what was the corrective action? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hill hold function

Sorry don't have the code but I'll find out Tuesday. For additional info, the hill holder worked after the mechanic reset the code but did not work when the yellow brake light came on again several days later.

Hill Holder function

Did get the code for the malfunctioning hill holder function. It is DSC-5DBF. Hope this helps.

Thank you,

I haven't been able to find anything specific, but one site I found for BMW codes indicates that code is for a "Hydraulic unit valve : USV1".

My best guess is that you either have a sensor going bad that is causing the fault or you actually have some part failing in the brake system. I guess if the code is somehow related to hydraulics, it could be due to some problem like the brake fluid needing to be replaced or low if you haven't had it bled lately.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling you are going to have to make a trip to the dealer.

Hill holder function

Thank you very much for taking the time to research this problem. It is greatly appreciated. My first attempt will be to go to my local tech and provide him with the info you provided. If that doesn't bear fruit, off to the dealer in Richmond, Va as I don't care for Flow Mini in Raleigh, NC. Again, thank you
