Will Bike fit in Clubman Cargo area

I will be picking up my new Clubman next week and just wondered if there is room in the cargo area to fit a bike - of course taking off the front wheel of the bike. I would like to avoid purchasing a roof rack and also lifting a full sized bike up over the car can be a real chore.

I'm 5'-9" and i can see the top of the car pretty easily. Lifting up onto the rack shouldn't be too bad, unless you're shorter than that.

As far as the bike going into the cargo area, i've never done it, but it does look like you should be able to fit one with the rear seats folded down and the front wheel removed.

My mountain bike won't fit with the wheel off...I am 5'7 and I need a stool to reach the locking part of the arm of the bike rack...The folding stools are about $15.00...Mine may be a bit taller since my crossbars are on top of the roof rails..

5'9" and I have no problem getting the bikes onto the roof.

That said. With the seats down you can fit two moutain bikes with the front wheels off.

Road bike yes, mountain bike no

My Cervelo S1, 58 cm road bike fits well in the back of a clubman with the front wheel off. My 29er specialize 19 in moutain bike does not fit.

A bike fits easily inside, however I found that installing a hitch and using a hitch rack was the most convenient solution for me.

My 21spd fully-suspended Birdy fits in the back... with the rear seats up!

54 Cervelo road bike fits with front wheel off. 51 Cervelo TT bike also fits with front wheel off. Out of all the bikes I've loaded onto roofs, the Clubman's is the easiest because it's so short. And roof rack>hitch rack. Look at how much dirt your boot gets, that'll be all over your derailleurs and chain.

As the others said, it will fit, just drop the back seat and take front wheel off. I put a towel down so my back wheel doesn't rub up against the back of my front seats.

Yes, absolutely: With the front wheel off (possibly both wheels if it's a larger frame).

I've had my 58cm Specialized in the trunk as well as a 59cm Steel Single Speed...

They both fit(had to slide the passenger seat forward) but it was always a pain in the ***.... I now have a roof rack with two Rockymounts pitchfork bike racks and they are by far 100 times easier. Front wheels still come off but they are more secure and I have a usable car to hold the rest of my gear.

I CAN fit my mtn bike in the back . . . but front wheel off, turn the fork all the way around, and push the passenger seat all the way forward . . . .

I got a roof rack instead. :-p I couldn't fit anything, or anyone, else in the car. And I could only fit 1 of my bikes; the other simply wouldn't fit. This way, I can also carry two bikes and 2 people.

I am 6'-4", and ride a size large Jamis Dakar XLT 1.0. Nowhere close to fitting, even with both wheels off, lol. Installed the roof rack with Euro Pitchfork trays, I love it. The most convenient bike transport setup I've ever used.

Thanks! I got the racks from you guys actually.. quick shipping, reasonable cost, outstanding website, as always!

Also, if anyone is curious, the red trays are a bang-on match for my Chili Red clubman!

Thanks.

Yes " Chili Red " spot on and thanks for your purchase. Your color combo look great!

I like how there are other colors also. With MINI owners being color savvy it work very well with the line. The OEM Mini ones only come in gray tone that matches the OEM roof rack.
