Things you might not know...

So I used to have a 1st gen Mini Cooper S and I was always on the forums and they have a thread called "things you didn't know about your mini". The thread had all kinda of very interesting facts about the 1st gen mini's. Now that I have a 2010 clubman I would like to know all the little like hidden facts about the 2nd gens. For example the other day I found out that the interior trim piece above the glove box also opens up as like a mini glove box.

I learned on this forum somewhere that if you hold the unlock button down on the key fob the windows will roll down. I tried it and it works on my 08S

If you have a sunroof, holding the unlock will also open that up too.. As long as it's aligned right and doesn't auto-close back down like mine does when it's hot out, lol.

when reversing with the rear wipers on, the wipers speed up. Also, there is only one reverse light.

I made my windows have the auto-up feature today, by accident. Was sitting in the car showing the wife how if you hold the remote unlock down that both windows will lower. Then somehow I have auto up and down, on both sides.

I found this thread tonight that likely explains better the mod I stumbled across https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...r-windows.html

I believe it was the button on the remote that did it... though at first I tried holding the unlock switch on the dash but that didn't seem to do anything. It's possible the two are related though

Oh, and while digging around in the glovebox I found the little heat register valve. I presume this is to heat or cool the contents of the glovebox? Kinda cute... doubtful I'll rely on that for much though.

The r53's had that too, if I'm not mistaking it only blows cold air regardless if the heat is on or not. It works as a decent cooler for long trips.
