Passenger side oil leak

2009 Clubman S, it only leaks when engine is running. Did the gasket replacement fix the problem? I've read another similar description that was the oil pump and maybe solenoid. I have an extended warranty with a $100 copay but I will have to drive it at least 2 hrs to nearest mini dealer and don't to do that if I can do it myself. I would greatly appreciate any input if anyone would be so kind. I know one thing, there isn't much room under the hood.

First, I think you should go with the warranty to fix it.

Second, it would be nice to have some pictures for the community to narrow the alternatives. Otherwise it would be too much conjecture to be useful to you.

Before setting off on a two-hour drive, I'd be certain the timing chain tensioner hasn't backed out on you. It's located on the passenger side of the engine. This is a relatively common occurrence on these engines -- at least more common than it should be -- and one of the characteristic symptoms is an oil leak on the passenger's side of the engine block...

If the tensioner has partially backed out, and you embark on a long trip during which it comes out entirely, the best case scenario you're looking at is being stranded by the side of the road when you lose all the oil in the engine; worst case scenario is you cause some expensive engine damage... When the tensioner comes out, you have very little time before all the oil in the engine is forced out through the hole that was formerly occupied by the tensioner. Search the forum for this issue.

I just got Priscilla out if the shop, had a leak on the right side that turned out to be a cracked hose near the crank case. She had a bad leak at the oil filter gasket housing (if I'm remembering that correctly, I'm no mechanic). She seems fine now, so hopefully no damage done to the timing chain after losing so much oil. No foul language coming from under the bonnet
