I can not imaging putting a couple hogs in my Clubman but may be our Chihuahua's will have a field day in the boot.

My love for the Morris Minor and Morris Mini Travellers is why I bought a Clubman. It's a shame BMW couldn't acquire the rights to the Traveller name.

Barn doors FTW!!

Where can we find a listing and photos of all the Classic Mini? What is a Morris Minor.

Google Images is a good strating place.

What is a Morris Minor.

The http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morris_Minor is the Mini's father (and the MINI's grandfather).

It was designed by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alec_Issigonis as a small, affordable range of vehicles post-WWII (sort of a British Volkswagen Type 1) for Morris (a brand of British Motor Corporation). Issigonis designed the FWD Morris Mini as a smaller "replacement" about ten-years later. It came in two-door, four-door, convertible, wagon (Traveller) and van versions.

MINI still is based in the old Morris home of Oxford... and it's why I often wear a Morris ballcap to MINI events.

Morris Minor's are also where MINI (and Mini) get the iconic central speedo.

Had some service work done at Motor City Mini in Southfield Michigan and they have a fully restored 1960's Countryman on the floor - very nice light green with matching leather interior.

The Mini was later sold as an Austin as well. Austin called their Traveller a Countryman.

The Austin Mini Van (spiritual forebear of the coming MINI Clubvan).

Yes, there was a Mini pick-up. About 60,000 of them.

...and the Austin Mini Moke (I'm still waiting for BMW to trot a show-car MINI CJ-0.5 out).

The original wagon style Mini was known as the Traveller....as someone has correctly pointed out......The Mini Minor was also known as the 1000...and then when the original Mini came out it was known as the Morris (or Austin)Mini Minor......the original Clubman was a squared off front end version of the original Mini....lots more variations out there and a good book of the history of Mini is an essential for any Mini enthusiast.

That is one of the best looking covers next to maybe the JCW version for Clubman or Hardtop. The Mc MINI for the R57 , has to be up there.

So awesome to see them in action, alive and well. Thank you for sharing as I'm very inspired to learn more.

PMSummer - Thank you for sharing the classic Mini and one day I hope to see them in person.

I sent that photo to my wife - she drives a Clubman S, and she didn't know what it was.

The first car I learned to drive a manual was a Morris Minor Series II convertible (powder blue.. literally). It was love at first gear crunch. I fell it love with Mini Coopers watching a pair of purple Overseas Motors Minis racing against (and beating them, in some tight-track cases) much larger and more powerful sports cars.

...but I fell into the clutches of BMWs.

Having always wanted a Morris Traveller, and an Austin Mini Cooper S, and with my history of driving BMWs, the MINI Cooper S Clubman had my name written on it when I left the world of gainful employment.

Fun topic. Thanks for bringing it up!
