HELP cleaning smell!

soooo I went with my dad to pick up some food he ordered at a Spanish restaurant (seafood platter stuffs). Lucky for me they packaged the goods in a box that had a hole in it the juices from the seafood spilled onto my carpet in the trunk, past through the hole onto the carpet for the thing that lifts to the spare tire well, and finally into the spare tire area.

I immediately took out the carpets and toweled the stuff off. I then tough stuffed it, but it still smelled so I took it inside and use pet odor remover (for poop and dog pee) I sprayed the carpets and I vacuumed them. I let them dry overnight, but now when I get in my car I can still smell the stench. Any suggestions on getting the smells out?

Thanks in advance

im thinking about it. I'm going to have to rent one. I feel bad because when I got home I threw it all out of the car in a fit of rage (the carpets not the food) and I may have made my father feel guilty :\

Maybe I suggest you go apologize and buy him a nice dinner. I would also suggest getting a rubber mat for the hatch area.

Not yet, but our apologies tend to be more jokes than apologies. I feel one is in order once he gets home haha

Baking soda! Also febreeze sports works great also. Spraying lysol or using lysol wipes will clean it really good then one of thosr sprays will help bust down the odor. (Also cat litter haha)

Quoted for truth... he didn't mean to make your car stinky

Find a detailing shop with an ozone generator. Those will remove just about any smell.

Car smells, even Cigarette Smoke can be removed by placing a cup of White Vinegar in a bowl and left overnight on the Floorboard. It really works...trust me!! :-)
