New Clubbie in California
I have had my black on black 2013 Clubman S for just over a week now. Had the bonnet stripes added yesterday and have a long list of mods I want to make, while only purchasing a few select (inexpensive) items for the time being. Simple stuff purchased:
This is the only pic I have had the chance to take so far, a garage shot. Not great, but all I've got

Looks great. Where in California are you located? I'd recommend joining a local club, there are a lot of active ones in both Southern and Northern California.
Also make sure to post some photos of the Mini puddle lights (are they the Amazon ones?). I've seen some photos of them, and it looks great.

I will definitely have to look. I am in So Cal, Ventura County area. I ordered the puddle lights from Mr. Kustom. I could not find an amazon listing for the mini logo.

Welcome!! Nice Clubby!!
Check out So Cal MINI Maniacs, we have a ton of events, one actually just started right near you this morning. Also, if you need an independent mechanic who knows his MINIs and is a stand up guy, Motoring Magic in Thousand Oaks is The Man. Tell Scott that Joanie sent ya. :-)

Hello, and welcome!
I have a '09 Justa, midnight black, stripped off the stripes, and the rear doors are
badge-less. I bought it in August last year. Ready to turn 70k any day now. I did the led interiors and puddles. I toned down the interior lights with red and amber. Blazing lights on a dark night inside the car mess with my eyes. Did you do chrome line trim on the interior?
I love the car, the mileage is outstanding....but..it seems like its getting..smaller.
Anyone else experience this?

Hey guys, need some help. I am trying to wire up the puddle light projectors I purchased. I had no problem removing the door panel and I removed the wire hardness from the existing puddle light. I trimmed the plug off to expose the two wires (a yellow/brown) and a brown. I tested the wires with my multimeter and the yellow/brown is power and the brown is ground. So I wired the red from the puddle light to the yellow/brown and the black to the brown, as I have seen on a number of sites. When I connnected the wires the puddle light wire sleeve became extremely hot and the light does not come on. I immediately disconnected them, but do fear I burnt this light. Anyone have experience or thoughts to what my issues my be? The install instructions are pretty straight forward: Connect red to 12v and black to ground. Here is a image of the wiring (simple). Help!

Congrats and welcome! Not sure exactly where in Ventura Co. you're located but there are few of us over here on the east end, myself in Simi Valley.
I, too, have heard good things about Motoring Magic and almost regret having a factory warranty since I currently have no reason to stop by and meet them. I may have to do it anyways.

Does anyone have tips for removing the overhead switch panel (where the sunroof control and reading lights are located)? I have LEDS to install, but I can't figure out how to remove the whole thing. The front piece is a cover and comes off easy. The housing behind that has tabs and they seem like they would come out fine. The problem area is the piece with the switches and reading lights, it doesnt seem to want to pop off. Am I missing something?

Hey Sublime Welcome to the Clubbie Club. I am in port Hueneme so we are neighbors. I have been to Scott at Motoring Magic and he is great. I have also been to Concours Motors in Ventura and like them as well. So Cal Mini Maniacs are a great group. Lots of friendly and fun people Hope to see you around.

LED have been installed in all but the foot well. Very hard to get to.
Puddle light successfully installed on the driver side. Waiting for the replacement puddle light for the passenger side.

And, having a car for a month, it is always fun when you get a screw in a tire. Then the joy is finding a shop that will repair a Continental run flat, since most big brand tire shops will not touch them. You will get a lot of misinformation about how run flats cannot be repaired at all or those shops that follow the manufacturer BS that certain brands cannot be repaired. That is the word continental puts out there and it just isn't true. Hunting other forums you will find multiple mentions of patched and plugged run flats with no issues. Anyway, I had the slowest of leaks, dropping down to 20PSI over 3 or 4 days. Quite frustrating. It took me a few days of phone calls to find a shop that would even attempt to repair the tire. Finally, I found one and fortunately yesterday afternoon had the tire patched and was out the door at $32. Now, I didn't plan on replacing the run flat, but $32 is a lot better than 4 new non-run flats.
