Hello all! Just got a 2010 clubman this week and I had some questions.

The car doesn't have bluetooth, but it does have the controls on the steering wheel. I'd love to have bluetooth but I want it to be completely integrated. I asked the dealer and he says it would be $1200 to have them install a bluetooth system. My question is, is there any bluetooth systems out there that will work on my R55 that don't require some kind of screen mounted to the dash?

Along the same lines, I'd like to have satellite radio but not have some kind of screen mounted to the dash. I'm looking to keep the dash looking like it is. Any help is greatly appreciated!

 

I ran into the same thing when I bought my 2009 clubman used. I bought it from a non Mini Dealer and then talked to someone at a dealer who said for Mini to do it, it is REALLY costly. Some people have recommended a product called "parrot" that can be integrated into the system to use the buttons on the steering wheel but I haven't really spent a lot of time researching. If you are near a Fry's or Best Buy or some other place that does a lot of car audio work they could probably give you a ton of info.

 

Look into the "Parrot" systems http://www.parrot.com/usa/products/b...-free-car-kits. I retrofit Bluetooth into both my BMW and Honda with no issues or cutting/splicing of wires.....really economical and works well. Not sure if compatible with MINIs though.
